Homeward bound Sunday October 2, 2022

We had a wonderful vacation in Portugal and it was the perfect length because we enjoyed it to the end and yet we were ready to be home.

The 12 hour flight went smoothly, but we were so happy to land in SF.  My brother Ed picked us up at the airport and a short while letter we were in our car heading home!

Our ladies πŸ“πŸ“are doing well and everything at home  is in order thanks to our wonderful neighbors, Barbara. ❤️πŸ˜ƒ

Free day 6 and transfer to Lisbon.

We said good bye to Lagos when the transfer van picked us up and drove us almost 3 hours to Lisbon.

At 11:11 we were in route.

We stayed at the same Lisbon hotel, so we kind of had a bearing of where we had been and where we could do some new afternoon exploring.

The store window with the array of baked Portuguese specialties.

Final drink on the roof top of our hotel.

Free day 5 … in Lagos

It was great to be able to leave the bikes in the storage garage today. We spent the morning exploring Lagos by foot, then by sailboat and small motor boat. We paid for a sailing excursion the day before when the winds were gusty and always evident. It just so happens that when we would relish some wind we get a  calm, warm day.  So, we were in a great sailing vessel,
we just didn’t do any sailing when the sails were raised.  The good thing is that the sail boat also had a small motor boat that could take small groups to see the cliffs, caves and grottos on the shoreline. That was awesome!

At 11:11 we were in our hotel gathering our items for our excursion.

  Bom Dia Sailing Excursion

The day ended with live music at a fun 🍺 place in the happening narrow alleyways of Lagos.
