Day 5 - 0 miles Family Day

Woke up to steady rain and cooler temperatures this morning and once again were so thankful for the perfect weather we had for yesterday's family reunion. Our breakfast at the Black Horse Inn was plentiful. Kaden's pancake almost didn't fit on his plate.

After visiting Tim's Aunt Lois and Gil in Trempealeau, Wisconsin, we stopped by Uncle Skip and Nancy home a couple blocks away. The rain stopped in time for our walk to Trempealeau's Catfish Days -where we watched a hometown parade and enjoyed music, food and carnival festivities with the whole family.

Trempealeau is a historic town with lots of personality.

Kaden and Shayna waited patiently and then loved scrambling for the candy that was tossed from many floats.

Tim and his mom even danced to the 50's White Sidewalls band.

Of course the day would not be complete without some catfish. The plateful was not very colorful, but the catfish was tasty.

It certainly was a fun filled weekend reuniting with Tim's family.
