Day off in Natchez

We both had a great night sleep so we woke well rested this morning. We had 2 items to do on our day off: laundry and replacement glasses for the ones Tim left in New Orleans. The laundry took some time, but luckily the hotel had the facilities conveniently located.
Tim found a vision specialist that could provide him with a replacement pair. (Wearing sunglasses at night is not all it's cracked up to be.)

While the glasses were being made we decided to check out the golf in Natchez.

It was a hot one on the golf course but we sought out the shade every possible opportunity. We both had at least one par and several bogies, but also some less impressive shots.

After picking up Tim's new glasses, we spent time touring some more historic sites and homes, including Melrose and Rosalie.

Really, many of the homes in the Natchez neighborhood are beautiful and unique.

Saint Catherine's Catholic church was also incredible inside and out.

Since we traveled with our bikes (17 miles) on our day off, we thought we deserved margaritas and nachos. It hit the spot.
