Now that we have been living out of cycling panniers for more than 2 full weeks, we have our routine pretty much figured out. Each morning we load our airtight ziplock bags and sit on them , squeezing out any air so they can fit into the limited space we have in our panniers.
It took us 12 days and 602 miles to cycle the length of Florida! It was exciting to finally see the Georgia welcome sign shortly after starting our ride this morning.
At 11:11 we were cycling on a somewhat busy hwy 17 in rural Georgia on a nice bike lane.
The weather started out chilly, but my noon we shed our extra layers.
We pick out a place to have a late lunch and we couldn’t resist the frozen margarita and “pain killer” drink. We only had another 10 miles to our hotel.
On the final stretch we were energized by Joe who just moved to Brunswick from Portland Oregon. Joe is riding a Trek 2120 Carbon frame about 30 years old- even older than Tim’s Trek 520 from 1999.
We ended our afternoon by walking a busy road for about a mile to get to the Toucan’s Ale house. We shared a dinner but had our own beer! 😃🍻
