4/20/23 Richmond Hill to Savannah

It was exciting to know we had a short ride today and we would be spending the majority of the day in Savannah.  The bike routes in Georgia are not really bike friendly, but with caution and focus we made it to the  wonderful neighborhood streets with the wonderful canopy and the Spanish moss  hanging gently.

The first stop in Savannah was at the Trek bike shop where I exchanged my recently purchased shoes for a larger size (love that Bontrager exchange policy) and Tim got some new handlebar tape. Very helpful and friendly folks at the Trek shop. https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1acnETIoKXCm8kjKwJEthhsuhWS6H-VSr
We got to a local brewery at 11:00 opening time and enjoyed a flight of Moon River brews.  This is our 11:11 shot of the day.

After checking in and cleaning up we found our way to the historical trolley tour of Savannah. Our guide/ driver was great and we learned so much. https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1jb2HLhb4DqOkrb4IuJZ6lZbh8dpcRhM3
Next we made our way to the Prohibition Museum and Speak Easy. They did an awesome job setting up this self guided experience. Lots to learn and  a cocktail to enjoy at the end.

The market square was entertaining and we had fun checking out the shops, people, sights, sounds and tastes both there and along the riverside.

We filed our bellies, drank on the streets (it’s legal in Savannah), learned about the history and met some really nice people. We had a wonderful experience in Savannah.
